Who We Are

SearchLens is operated by SearchLens, LLC, a Connecticut limited liability company. We build software tools for search fund entrepreneurs and ETA professionals. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at hello@searchlens.ai.

What We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We do not store plaintext passwords. When you upload documents for analysis, we store those files on Vercel Blob storage — SOC 2 Type 2 certified infrastructure. We collect usage data including deal analyses run, credits purchased and consumed, and account activity. We use cookies for authentication and session management only. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

How We Use Your Data

We use your data to provide the SearchLens service — processing uploaded documents, generating financial analyses, and maintaining your deal history. We use your email address to send transactional communications (account creation, credit purchases, password resets). We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

How Your Documents Are Processed

Documents you upload are stored on Vercel’s SOC 2 Type 2 certified infrastructure. When SearchLens analyzes your documents, extracted text content is processed via Anthropic’s API. Under Anthropic’s API terms, your inputs are not used for model training and are automatically deleted within 30 days. Your raw files remain in your SearchLens storage and are not transmitted to any consumer AI platform.

Data Retention

We retain your account data and deal history for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days. Uploaded files can be deleted at any time from your account. We retain billing records as required by law.

Third-Party Services

SearchLens uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Vercel — hosting and file storage (SOC 2 Type 2 certified)
• Anthropic — AI analysis via API (data not used for training)
• Turso — database storage
• Stripe — payment processing (we do not store credit card information)
• Resend or similar — transactional email delivery

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting hello@searchlens.ai. If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our service evolves. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the site. Continued use of SearchLens after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
